Ami Blastock jewellery is designed and made in the beautiful town of Sandwich, Kent, in my little workshop. I am a trained jewellery designer maker, I work in silver, gold and gemstones and platinum, when I'm lucky enough to work with it. Inspired by my surroundings and the metal itself, each piece is lovingly and professionally handmade, by myself, to the highest standard, and each piece is highly individual and unique.
I studied for four years and gained a degree, in 2009, in Silversmithing, Goldsmithing, and Jewellery Design. Throughout the whole of my studies I worked for jewellers at the bench, developing my skills and gaining a wealth of experience of working with the public to make jewellery that is enjoyed. During my studies, in 2008, I also started my own jewellery business, establishing my little workshop, as well as regularly travelling to London for work and research.
In my studies I discovered my passion for merging precious metals, mainly sterling silver and gold, with semi-precious gemstones and diamonds. I take pleasure in experimenting with new methods, especially with setting gemstones and combining the techniques with traditional ones.
I have a selection of work for order and also enjoy working to commissions and designing with a specific theme in mind.
